On 21st May 2026 we held our annual MHPP Strategy Day which brought fifty members and speakers together to reflect on our role in meeting both the opportunities and challenges ahead.
The event took place at FC United of Manchester‘s Stadium in North Manchester and chaired by the MHPP interim Chair Matt Jones. From the outset, the focus was clear – collaboration, forward planning, and delivering impact across communities.
We covered a wide range of critical topics, including:
- Strategic “power planning” to shape our collective priorities from Sarah Barrett – The Transformation
- Updates on the Manchester Housing Strategy and major regeneration projects from Cllr Gavin White and Dave Lynch MCC
- Key lessons from the Regulator of Social Housing on consumer standards by Jon Sinclair RSH
- Progress on the Our Manchester Strategy one year on, and how MHPP contributes to its success – David Houliston MCC
- Future priorities and the work of our Strategy Delivery Groups for 2026 presented by Matt.
We also started to share our fantastic new MHPP branding and Tristan Morris Director of Trunk Agency demonstrated the new website to be launched shortly.
It was great to hear contributions from colleagues across our wider housing partnership network, alongside valuable time for networking and discussion.
