Wythenshawe Community Housing Group

We’re a community-based housing association providing affordable homes and services across Wythenshawe and South Manchester. Established following a large-scale stock transfer from Manchester City Council in 2007, we now manage more than 14,000 homes and support thousands of residents through housing, community and wellbeing services.

We’re committed to providing high-quality homes, investing in our existing properties and building new affordable housing to meet local need. Alongside housing management, we help residents access employment, training and support services that improve wellbeing and create opportunities for individuals and families.

Beyond housing, we deliver programmes that help people build skills, improve their financial wellbeing and access opportunities to enhance their quality of life. Through partnerships with local charities, schools and community groups, we support people of all ages and backgrounds and help strengthen the communities we serve.

Our connection to the local area extends beyond the services we provide. More than 40% of our colleagues live in Wythenshawe and the surrounding area, while over 20% are also customers. This local knowledge and lived experience help us better understand the needs of our communities and ensure that residents remain at the heart of our decision-making.
